Happy Monday everyone!

Today I wanted to talk about my favorite foundations & BB creams of all time!

I have always loved trying new makeup especially because new products come out almost every month! Its just so exciting to find an awesome new product that goes well with my skin. (esp foundation :)) However sometimes its hard to keep trying new products because you had just brought that other product a month ago and you still have most of the bottle left or when I find a great product that I love, I tend to stick with it and not give another product a try until I'm almost done with the bottel I purchased. So if you are debating on what new foundation you should buy next or if you are having trouble finding your favorite foundation, I hope this post could help =)

Now on to the products!

I usually stick to wearing BB cream on normal days because its so easy to apply and it alreay has SPF in it so I can skip applying UV cream! I have tried tons of BB cream to look for the one for my skin but I always always always come back to the Korean brand Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream! It has an SPF of 42 PA+++ and it has great coverage. I always look for coverage in my BB cream/foundation products because I have always had a lot of freckles on my face since I was little. The Missha BB cream has several colors but the No. 23 one is perfect for my skin all year around! ( In the summer time, I put some bronzer on top so my face is not glowing white ;))

I recently decided to try a new BB cream and stalked the internet for some reviews and recomendations. I finally decided to go with the Dr. Jart BB cream. Even when I went up to random make up counters at department stores, most of the girls working the counters raved about the Dr. Jart BB cream. I was so excited to try it out but...my opinion after trying it out during the past few months...I think I will stick to the Missha BB cream. The Dr. Jart one also has an SPF of 45 and it comes in two colors. I personally got the light to medium one but I feel like the color is more grayish pink undertone and it doesn't go too well with my skintone. It makes my skin look a bit dull. As for the coverage, it does its job by covering minor pores etc but for my freckles it doesn't do too well. I also feel like this BB cream is a lot heavier on my skin than the Missha one. At least for the first few hours of application, I feel like I have stuff on my skin. So...overall for the price difference, coverage, ease of use, I will be sticking to my Missha BB cream :)

Both have similar packaging with the very practical pump but over the years I have found that rolling around in my make up bag, the Missha plastic cap always ends up cracking and breaking :( thats the only negative of the Missha BB cream!

Sorry my hand is alot darker than my face so the colors don't match my skin..but do you see how the left side ( Dr. Jart) one seems a little grayish pink? ( just lightly apply bronzer on top in the summer after your skin catches some ray)

Now on to the Foundations!

I have always loved and swore by the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. It has such great coverage and it just goes on so smoothly with out feeling like you have a gunk of foundation on top of your skin. I usally wear this when I go out or have an event. However one day I walked into Sephora wondering if there was a better or similar foundation than this one, the Sephora girl introduced me to the Kat Von D Lock-it tatto foundation. She used the Kat Von D primer under and put this foundation on top. When I looked in the mirror, I couldn't believe the coverage and how smooth my skin looked. Now this may be beacuse I have only used the Estee Lauder Double Wear for so long and I was not use to seeing my skin in a different foundation but I fell in love an instantly purchased the Lock-it tatoo. I even wore this foundation to my friends wedding where I was a bridesmaid and I applied it in the morning and it lasted all day!! I only had to lightly apply some clear powder at night!

I actually wear these two foundations alternating them by how I feel. They are very similar but I feel like the lock-it foundation has more of a thicker feel to it than the Double wear. I typically use a stipple brush to apply the Double Wear and I always use a beauty blender when I wear the Lock-it foundation.

BUT!!!! This was until I got a sample of the Clinique beyond perfecting foundation + concelar in a Sephora online purchase! I usually get the samples but don't really try all of it since I already (thought) had a favorite foundation. But for some rare reason I decided to try this foundation out one day and OMG I LOVED IT!!! It truly has the best coverage out of any foundation and it just goes on so well!!! I loved it so much that I ran to Nordstrom to buy the foundation after I ran out of the sample. ( and a little goes a long way so I used the sample pack for about a week!!) The foundation is in a cute little bottle with a wand. I'm not quiet sure if I like the wand yet because it almost feels unsanitary to keep dipping the wand back in the bottle after sweeping it on my face. But, that will definetly not stop me from buying this foundation again. Its only been about a month since I started using this foundation but I am so happy with it!! I use a stipple brush after I apply a small amount on my cheeks, forehead, and nose and just blend it all in!! If you are looking for a great coverage but light-weight foundation, this is it!!! It is also oil free for those of you who suffer from acne!!!

These foundations are from different times of the season so they are all different colors. The Clinique one is the one I got about a month ago and it matches my skin best right now!

When I compared the three foundation on my wrist, the Double Wear had the most watery consistency and the Lock-it tatoo had the thickest consistency. The Lock-it one was pretty hard to wipe off my wrist, even when I washed it with water and a little bit of soap, it stuck on my skin pretty well! ( hence the lock-it tattoo name ;))

I would love to hear what your favorite foundation/ BB cream is =)

Hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend!

xo,

Lisa
