St. Lucia (part 2)

After we left Coconut Bay, we drove North West for about 45 minutes to a town called Soufrière. Soufriere is on the West coast of St. Lucia and it used to be the capital of St. Lucia. We arrived at our next resort Ladera. "Ladera is the only resort in St.Lucia located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site, overlooking the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. It is located on the Soufriere Volcano" ( -Ladera website)

As soon as we arrived to Ladera we were greeted by friendly staff with some spiced drinks and were lead to our room. I could not believe my eyes when I walked into our room. It was probably the most beautiful view that I have ever seen!!! Ladera is known for having a private pool in all of their villas and also for their 3 wall rooms. Yes, 3 wall rooms!! This means that one side of the room has no wall and you just have the most amazing view of the Pitons (triangle mountains) and ocean. (Even the shower is just outside with no walls!) We were a little skeptical at first about this concept because of bugs and animals. However after staying there, bugs and animals were no issue! We did get couple of mosquito bites but nothing worse. (they do provide bug spray and after bite stuff)

We relaxed in our amazing room for the most part but we did go to Sugar beach one day and did the Soufriere experience tour another day and it was amazing! For the Soufriere experience, we went to the Botanical Garden, we went into the mud bath, walked up to the volcano, and went into a waterfall. It was such an amazing experience!

Our amazing villa!

The mosquito net around the bed was a life saver! At night there were lots of lizzards trying to catch bugs! It was so fun to watch them hunt =) (Animal Planet LIVE!)
